- You need to pin point your concept more, as well as your target audience.
- Maybe make the guidebook for people who don't have gardens (eg. the alternatives like renting a patch), or students, or people who only want indoor/houseplants.
- Look into the 'Plant Journal'.
- Possibly think about flower connotations, they're meaning and uses. (eg. best flowers to give on birthdays, weddings, funerals etc)
- Look into the lifestyle of your target audience, and what they would want to see in a publication.
Feedback Response
My presentation feedback suggested that I pinpoint my concept and target audience, so the topic and brief I set for myself for this project is not as broad. That is why I have decided that instead of my target audience being the 'young adult', it will be the 'young professional'. I did not opt for a target audience of students, as I want my publication and its design to be more sophisticated and mature. The 'young professional' stereotypically works a full time job, and lives in a flat/apartment. This is also why I have chosen to focus my concept into flower gardening within the limits of a balcony, something that would be common with flats/apartments and therefore, within the lives of young professionals.
