Studio Brief 2: Roundhay Park Concerts and 1980's Research

Roundhay Park Concerts in the 1980's:

Roundhay Park is one of the biggest city parks in Europe. It has more than 700 acres (2.8 km2) of parkland, lakes, woodland and gardens.

- "People don’t realise what a great place Roundhay is, it’s one of the best parks in the country and it has that magical history of all those acts who have performed there over the years.” - Harvey Goldsmith

- "The sight of 80,000 people dancing in the park was awesome"

“It was a hot day and it was packed. I had to capture The Boss when he first came on stage and I just remember him singing those words: “Born in the USA” and the crowd just went wild. It was a great atmosphere."

"From a petite but legendary stepping stone venue to a superstar’s outdoor playground, Roundhay Park was where the big names came to play Leeds before the Arena was thrown up in 2013"
