Studio Brief 3: Peer Development - Map

After we had chosen the final logotype, we were then confident in designing the rest of the content required for the exhibition. We had assigned and delegated between ourselves the different roles, below are the developed designs for the map that was to be part of the curation of the exhibition.

The map was designed to be an interactive part of the exhibition. The map would have been a simplified version of Leeds, but still detailed and informed enough so that the public were able to identify different areas and locations. Black dot stickers, the same as the ones used for wayfinding to create cohesiveness, would have been placed on the map at all the locations that are celebrated within the exhibition itself. The interactive element was to ask the public what their significant/important place was in Leeds that they personally would like to celebrate, and allow them to place their own sticker on the map at that location. The public's stickers would have been light blue, so the exhibition celebratory places, and the public's added places could be easily differentiated. The colour light blue was chosen because of the exhibition room, which had light blue dots on the ceiling.
