Studio Brief 3: Practice Presentation & Feedback

Feedback:

- It feels more like a brand now than it did before, the neubau helped.
- Get a better reason for using Helvetica.
- Consider screen-printing the posters, and what materials you're printing on.
- Include the information about the free letterpress workshop on Tuesday.
- Thicker, glossier stock for flyers.
- Black and white posters don't feel celebratory - maybe include the colour of the halftoned images.
- You could incorporate the blue stickers on the floor - think about the signs.
- The catalogue images are very poor quality, re-shoot them.
- You could consider making a video of you flipping through the catalogue slowly and speak about it and it's content as the video plays in the presentation.
- Consider the cover of the catalogue to be people's mistake prints, with our designed black cover screen-printed on the blank/other side.
- Once the curated posters are up, you could take a picture, greyscale it and increase the contrast to better show the gradient.
- For social media, show how the people will be able to stand and take pictures with the projector.
- Mock-up the '#Halftoneleeds' into the projector.
- Include the gifs within your presentation. Possibly animate the countdown.
- Consider how you will maintain interest in the exhibition whilst its happening. By taking pictures of it/the visitors and half toning them, for example.
- Bring the acetate element from the projector more into your design work, possibly make your flyers from acetate - as the balloon concept doesn't work cohesively with the rest of the designs.
- The invites could be a set of 3 bits of acetate, with halftone patterns on them and the information, so that the receivers could play with the invites in the same way they would be able to play with the acetate sheets on the projector.
- Consider the wayfinding, and what would you do if you weren't allowed to stick stuff on the floor.
- The Map isn't really needed if you have the projector as the interactive element, also, think about the space, where would you fit the map.
- For the posters, consider overlaying halftone over people's work in screen-print, so it doesn't register perfectly.
- When presenting the social media, get people to physically got to the instagram page.
