'Lloyds No.1 Bar' Final Design

For the rest of the publication, I went on to create more handwritten custom type titles and illustrations derived from the photography provided to me. I decided to divide the content of the publication into 5 categories, and for them create 5 different posters, as well as a 6th poster as the title page.

I used Adobe Illustrator to digitalise my hand written text to fix some minor issues such as making
the text straight or the letters even size, as well as adding colour to them.

I used Adobe Illustrator to outline the main features in the photographs provided to me,
and create minimal but clear illustrations from them.

The final design of the publication followed the same design properties that I had established during design development. The format of a poster for the design was to be maintained, however, as the brief required an outcome of a book or publication, I decided to simply take the posters and put them together in a binded format. I also considered making it so that the posters could be removed from the main bind, so that the format and the advertisement/promotional aspect of it could be maintained.

The background colour for all posters is black as it had been established that it communicates well the idea of night time, and paired with the bright and bold colours of the titles and illustrations, communicates the idea of night club even more so.
The colours used for the title and illustration outline for each poster are different, however they are all bright and bold. This was done to differentiate the different posters from one another and therefore to differentiate the content. This was also done because it further communicates the idea of night club, as in a club you experience seeing a variety of bright colours.
The back of each poster is where the text content of the publication is shown. I had kept this page quite simple and minimal, this was because the focus of the publication is placed on the front side of each poster, as this communicates the context and aim for the publication more so than the body text. The back of each poster also contains the name 'Lloyds No.1 Bar', also handwritten and coloured in with the relating colours, to be cohesive with the rest of the content/design features. This was done to showcase what each poster is advertising/promoting, and to confirm to the reader that Lloyds No.1 Bar acknowledges the humorous and mocking element to the posters and is proud of them. It was also done in mind that if the posters were to become removable from the main bind, that the business that the poster is advertising/promoting is clear even when any one of the pages is away from the main book.
The first poster in the publication is different from the rest as it does not contain a title or any information/text on the back of it. All it contains is the name 'Lloyds No.1 Bar' repeated multiple times on the front and the illustrations of all posters on the back. This was created as a form of a title page, or 'title poster'. The different colours used for the repeated bar title on the front of the poster are the colours used for all the posters to come, this is to introduce the reader with the colour scheme. The colours and the use of repetition are to create a sense of excitement for the reader for what's to come. The back of the poster shows all the illustrations within the publication, this was done for the same purpose of giving the reader a preview of what's to come as well as creating a sense of intrigue and excitement. The first poster works not only as an introduction but as a separate promotional/advertising poster in itself, as both the front and the back of the poster have pleasing visuals and the same design style as the rest of the posters within the publication.
